Hamsters eat their babies… here’s why

Hamsters can turn… shockingly brutal under stress. If a mother feels threatened, unsafe, or overwhelmed, she may eat her own babies. Sounds horrifying but in the wild, it’s a survival instinct. By reducing the litter, she protects herself and gives the remaining pups a better chance to survive. It’s fast, instinctive, and triggered by stress, smell changes, or disturbance. Cute on the outside… but survival always comes first.
